The team behind the training
The NES DEFENSE team runs professional firearms courses, and the training programmes were written together with special-unit veterans and with very senior firearms instructors.
In practice that means every drill in a session is there for a reason. Not because it looks good on video, but because someone who genuinely needed the capability decided it was required, and someone who has taught shooting for decades worked out how to teach it to a person who did not come from that world.
An instructor here does not read out a list of drills. They understand why each one exists, what it is meant to correct, and what to do when it is not working for the student in front of them.
Combined years of instruction
Students trained with us
Sessions at licensed ranges
I came after years of refresher sessions where nobody actually looked at me. Within an hour the instructor found exactly why I was pulling left, and fixed something nobody had told me before.
Alon M.
Private licence holder
I arrived with no experience and expected to be the weakest in the group. They worked at my pace, without condescension and without compromising on safety. I left with real confidence rather than a manufactured one.
Michal D.
New to shooting
What surprised me was how precise it was. Every drill had a reason and the instructor could explain it. It did not feel like a day out at a range, it felt like training.
Yoav R.
Security officer
I did three sessions back to back and learned something different in each one. First time I have felt I had a plan rather than one more day at the range.

The questions we are asked before every session
Not for every session. Some are built for people without a licence and run with the range's firearm under supervision, and some advanced sessions are for licence holders. Each session's page says who it is for, and if anything is unclear you can ask us before booking.
Yes. Some sessions are built precisely for people starting out. They begin with the fundamentals: safety, grip, stance, sights, and only then drills. Nobody will send you to shoot before you are ready.
At licensed ranges around the country. Every session states which range, which area and what time, before you book.
A valid firearms licence if you have one and are bringing your own firearm, photo ID, closed shoes and comfortable clothing. Hearing and eye protection are available at the range. Further details are emailed after booking.
Small groups. That is not a marketing decision but a condition of quality: an instructor can genuinely watch only a limited number of people at once, and beyond that it stops being in-person training.
Yes, under the site's terms of use. Cancelling within the cancellation window carries a refund as the law provides, and if you need a different date it is worth writing to us as early as you can.
No. We are not a licensing authority and we do not issue licences. That decision rests entirely with the Firearms Licensing Department. What we do provide is professional instruction, and where applicable a certificate of training completed at a licensed range.
