Citizens we walked to a licence
It sounds funny, but I came into the firearms world entirely by accident. I live near one of the communities along the Lebanese border, and on that black Saturday my life changed for good.
I felt my family was in extreme danger, that I was losing control and that their safety was slipping through my fingers with nobody there to protect them. At the time I had no combat knowledge, I was not armed, and I had not served as a combat soldier. I understood I could not sit on my hands, and I decided to take responsibility and act as fast as I could.
I got my firearms licence, trained day and night and turned into a fighting machine. During the Iron Swords war I joined a combat unit for the first time, under rocket fire in the north. Today I pass my knowledge on to armed citizens and train with special units.
I saw how much confidence a personal firearm gave me, and I understood that citizens cannot stay indifferent any more. That is how NES Defense was born.
After walking more than 1,500 Israelis from nothing to their firearms licence, we understood it was not enough, because they still lacked confidence with the weapon, and if they are not carrying it, we achieved nothing.
